In Florida that means cranking up the air conditioner to clean the oven, but that&#8217;s not my point.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve talked in previous <a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/organized-in-365\/\" target=\"_blank\">Organized in 365 posts<\/a> about using fifteen minute increments to get things done. I cannot tell you how effective this is over time.<\/p>\n<p>Spending fifteen minutes a day on a project will eventually lead to a completed project. It might not be finished in a day or even a week, but it will get done if you slowly chip away at the project, fifteen minutes at a time.<\/p>\n<p>In March, I&#8217;m committing to spending fifteen minutes a day on an organizing project. I don&#8217;t have time this month to dedicate an entire week or day to spring clean my house, but I can squeeze in fifteen minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Today I tackled my closet.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20655\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-before.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20655\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20655\" title=\"closet before\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-before.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-before.jpg 550w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-before-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-20655\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Please excuse the crummy iphone photo.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It is large and almost always a mess. Since no one ever sees it, it is not a priority. But my messy closet it costing me money.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve lost soccer uniforms, clothing, shoes, and other items because they&#8217;ve been buried in my messy closet. That changed today!<\/p>\n<p>In fifteen minutes I found all the soccer jerseys, clothing and a few other items I didn&#8217;t even know I was missing. I also got rid of a bunch of clothes I never wore or didn&#8217;t fit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-after.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20654\" title=\"closet after\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-after.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-after.jpg 550w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/closet-after-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finding the jersey&#8217;s saved me $40!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fifteen minutes of work for $40?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s an hourly savings of $160!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Would you get organized for $160 an hour?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My closet isn&#8217;t finished, but in another fifteen minutes it probably will be.
