But, instead of spending $20+ on them, why not make your own?!<\/p>\n<p>To do so, you just need a few basic supplies:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/IMG_5494.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17956 alignleft\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/IMG_5494-300x194.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Flip flops, floral embellishments (these flowers were found at Hobby  Lobby &amp; come in other colors like pink, purple, blue, and green  too), scissors, and glue (I used hot glue. Sometimes this doesn&#8217;t stick  as well to plastic. If you run into that issue, you can try an epoxy or  Gorilla glue&#8211;or just put a few hand stitches through).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/Making-Floral-Flipflops.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-17954\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/Making-Floral-Flipflops-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"322\" height=\"428\" \/><\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/Making-Floral-Flipflops.jpg\"><\/a>1. Remove the flower from the stem and take all the plastic pieces off.<\/p>\n<p>2. Once the flower is removed, take off any additional fabric you don&#8217;t want. In this case, I removed the largest pieces off the back.<\/p>\n<p>3. Once you&#8217;ve taken off any parts you&#8217;d like removed, then cut off the rest of the &#8220;stem&#8221; so it is flush with the fabric.<\/p>\n<p>4. Place glue in the center of the flip flop.<\/p>\n<p>5. Begin gluing on the embellishment, one layer at a time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In less than 5 minutes, you should have a really cute DIY floral flip flop!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/IMG_5515.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2011\/05\/IMG_5515-300x182.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"414\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a>Repeat the process with the other one.
