How did you do last month? Were you able to tackle some problem areas in your home?<\/p>\n<p><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/IMG_3157.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"old cds\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/IMG_3157-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"old cds\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I made some great progress in the office, basement, and kitchen. There is still a lot of work to do in my childrens&#8217; rooms and the garage, but significant progress was made in many areas of my home.<\/p>\n<p><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/IMG_3115.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"expired food\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/IMG_3115-300x187.jpg\" alt=\"expired food\" width=\"300\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found that making the decision to declutter was often harder than the actual declutter.<\/p>\n<p>This month I got rid of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B002ZDOVOG?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thehaphou-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B002ZDOVOG\">Jumbo Stamp Pads <\/a><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thehaphou-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B002ZDOVOG\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>that leaked so badly the ruined almost everything they touched. I held on to these for years, and then I realized it was less than $2 a pad to replace them.<\/li>\n<li>9 Bottles of Paint. I have moved these paint bottles six or seven times. Some of them were dried up and when I was going through them I realized they were not washable. I threw them all away.<\/li>\n<li>80 old computer discs. This was my most rewarding clean out of the month. My office is so clean and organized now! I love being able to find things I need.<\/li>\n<li>1 broken stapler.<\/li>\n<li>Countless number of old glue sticks, broken pencils and pens, and papers in the office.<\/li>\n<li>2 decks of playing cards that were missing cards.<\/li>\n<li>2 broken rubber maid bins.<\/li>\n<li>1 game.<\/li>\n<li>4 pieces of clothing.<\/li>\n<li>12 jars\/ bottles of expired condiments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_3153.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"bag of garbage\" src=\"..\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_3153-300x288.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last month I challenged myself to double my total for the <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/amysfinerthings.com\/april-clutter-update\" target=\"_blank\">730\/365 Challenge.<\/a> At the end of March my total was 148 items for the year.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>April total: 116<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Total for the year 264! <\/strong>Only 466 items to go. <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t quite double my total but I am making great progress.
