Frugal Map

If you are like me, you love to read the deal blogs, but often get frustrated that the prices don’t always match up. Often, a great deal in Texas is a not so great deal in Maryland. While many deals and coupons are nationwide, it is nice to know the frugal deal bloggers in your area so you can find the best deals where you live.

My friend Briana has created an incredible resource for those looking for local frugal bloggers, The Frugal Map.
Some features of the website include:

  • Frugal Map Function: Allows users to find a blogger near their location in an interactive map format.
  • Search Function: Allows users to search multiple blogs across the Frugal Map Network.
  • Hottest Deal RSS Feed: Gives users the most recent hot deals from the bloggers in the Frugal Map Network.
  • Specific Store Landing Pages: Allows users a one stop resource for for store deals including blogger store deal links, resources, and FAQ for the particular store.
  • Specific Blogger Landing Pages: Allows users to read more about their favorite blogs and connect with them via Twitter, Facebook, RSS, and specific store deal links.

Briana is always looking for more sites to add to the Frugal Map. You can find the criteria on the Frugal Map website.

  1. I think this would be really helpful to people. If she had this before I started blogging, I may have found one and never started. It’s too late for me now, I’m officially addicted. 🙂

  2. This is such a great idea! I clicked on my state…and there YOU are!! I’m a fellow MD blogger! Small world 🙂

  3. TheHappyHousewife says:

  7. What a great idea–bummed there are none in WA state.

  8. Awww. There aren’t any in Nevada. but there are in California… close enough! 🙂

    thanks for the resource!

  9. When I moved to Maryland from the midwest, I was shocked at the cost of living here. When I told all of my professional minded friends that I was quitting my carreer to raise my son ( I had continued to work until he was 9 months ) they looked at me like I have 2 heads. Now he is 2 and we’re living well on just one income thanks to smart, frugal choices. Glad to see I’m not the only 2 headed beast making it work!
