My family loves fresh pitas for lunch but it is hard to justify turning the oven to 400 degrees with temperatures rising outside. The best part about grilling pitas is that they puff every time! Usually when I make my pita bread I have one or two that don\u2019t puff up in the oven. When I grilled them, every single one puffed up nice and high.<\/p>\n<div id=\"recipe\"><\/div><div id=\"wprm-recipe-container-30068\" class=\"wprm-recipe-container\" data-recipe-id=\"30068\" For my machine I add all the wet ingredients first and then the dry ingredients, adding the yeast last.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Set your machine to the dough setting.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">After the machine has finished the dough cycle your dough is ready to be shaped into balls. I actually doubled this recipe, so I have twice as much dough in my machine as the recipe would normally make.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Take your dough and divide it into eight pieces and roll with your hands into balls. They will be roughly the size of a racquetball.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Cover with a damp towel and let them rest for about 20 minutes.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">While the dough is resting turn on your grill and turn it to the highest setting.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-6\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">After 20 minutes roll the pitas into small circles about 1\/8 inch thick.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-7\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Take your dough and place it on the hot grill. Shut the lid and try really, really hard not to peek.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-30068-step-0-8\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Grill for about 3 minutes, open the grill and flip the pitas.
