Breakfast is so important as a foundation for building a successful learner!<\/p>\n<p>Smoothies are a great way to get a lot of nutrition into a convenient, very quick breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>I developed this smoothie while on vacation. I did not have a high powered blender, so I needed things that would effortlessly blend in a basic blender. I also wanted to include as many good foods as I could to nourish my little one&#8217;s bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Protein is a <em>key ingredient<\/em> in a balanced, before school meal. Our brains need protein to focus and regulate our moods. This is especially true in kids with ADD, so a typical breakfast cereal or pop tart is simply not going to cut it!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Banana tip:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0When I have bananas that get over-ripe, I peel them, break them into pieces, and freeze them for later use in smoothies and baked goods.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-25653\" title=\"Peanut Butter
