I plan to have lemon juice in my freezer until the tree is ready to pick again next year!<\/p>\n<p>Below is a great recipe for lemon meringue pie. A little advice, read the entire recipe before you begin, there are a few complicated and time consuming steps, so it is better to be prepared, than to end up with burnt milk&#8230;<\/p>\n<div style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">4<\/span>&#32;<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">egg whites<\/span><\/li><li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\" style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">8<\/span>&#32;<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tablespoons<\/span>&#32;<span egg whites from the yolks. It is important when you are making meringue that you do not have any egg yolk in the whites or it will not form.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">In a medium saucepan, whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Stir in milk, lemon juice and lemon zest.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Cook over a medium heat stirring constantly until the mixture boils. You must stir constantly or the milk will burn!<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Take about a cup of the milk mixture and mix it into the egg yolks.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Then slowly pour the egg yolk mixture into the saucepan.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-6\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Continue to stir until the mixture comes to a boil and becomes thick. (This should happen at the same time- give or take)<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-7\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Remove from the heat and pour into the baked pie shell. Set aside.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29864-step-0-8\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">To make the meringue, pour egg whites into a cold mixing bowl and begin to whip.
