But, since the other recipes I have tried from this cookbook have been so amazing I decided to test this one out. (It also had a little something to do with the bag of rye berries that have been sitting in my pantry for the past\u2026 well I don\u2019t even remember)<\/p>\n<p>I had to change this recipe a bit as the bread was heavy and took a long time to rise. The raisins add just the right amount of sweetness without the raisin taste! style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Set aside.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">In a mixing bowl mix warm milk and yeast.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Then add orange juice mixture.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Mix together for about 30 seconds.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">With the mixer on low, slowly add the salt and then the flours.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-6\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">First add rye, then unbleached, then wheat. Do not add all the wheat at once. Add it slowly until you get the correct \u201cbread-like\u201d consistency.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-7\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Knead for about 10 minutes.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-8\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Let the bread rise in a warm location until doubled. This could take up to an hour and a half.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-29884-step-0-9\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\">Punch down and shape into a loaf.
