Tuesday Tips
Posted on March 31st, 2008 by TheHappyHousewife
I figured I would combine all my tips into one this week.
We use sticks of butter for cooking, baking, and eating. One thing I noticed is that we were always throwing away butter wrappers with small amounts of butter on them. It seemed wasteful to me.
So now we freeze the wrappers in a Ziploc bag and use them to “grease” the pans when we are baking.

Edit*Â For those who were asking, we put our butter in a butter keeper on the counter. That way the butter is very easy to spread.

If you store the butter in the fridge before opening, you dont throw any away. Where do you keep yours?
I’ve heard of using the wrappers for greasing pans, but I never thought to freeze them for future use! Great idea!
