Tackle the Pantry

Since it has been a few weeks since my husband hung the shelves in the closet to create my new pantry, I figured it was finally time to organize my food. This way I will hopefully stop buying then same bag of rice over and over. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food I have crammed in the closet. I hope to plan many meals around my pantry for the rest of August.

Before

Tackle the Pantry

While I was grocery shopping my kids took everything out of the pantry and put it on the counter.

Then I loaded everything back into the pantry, in a sort of organized fashion. I love how Laura uses jars to organize her pantry. I am going to start looking for some soon.

I have to do this about once every three months or it gets out of control and I end up buying three of one item I cannot find! Great tackle! Stop by my tackle to see what I uncovered in the garage!

Great tackle! We won’t even talk about MY pantry! :) I’m de-cluttering my store & blog. Pop over for a look.

It’s not my favorite thing to do either. But, I feel so much better when it is done. Blessings to you!

I just love the pantry makeovers! This looks so good and it’s awesome you were willing and able to get it done! My shelf paper is from the previous owner of the house, it is 16 years old. It’s contact paper so it’s really stuck……something must be done!

Audra,

Iron the contact paper through a kitchen towel, and then peel while it’s still warm. Goo Gone or similar will get the sticky off the shelves.

Oh the dreaded pantry! I don’t have a “real” one, but struggle with keeping what I do have organized. You did a great job…it looks awesome!

Classico jars are my fave for organizing beans and dry goods – cheapest option out there – and the screw tops keep pantry pests out. Beautiful work!
