Smart Habit Saturday ~ Receipts
The other day I cleaned out one of my purses and this is what I found…
There were receipts from the last two years in my purse. Not every receipt from the past two years, but still, having receipts crumpled in the bottom of my purse it not the best way to track expenses.
The sad thing is that a few years ago my son made me this nice box that I hung on the wall next to my desk, to hold my receipts.
For some reason, the receipts are not making it from the purse to the box… so my goal is to check my purse everyday for receipts, transfer them to the box, and then at the end of the month put them in an envelope and file them. Hopefully this will help me to track our spending better (we use mostly cash) and if I ever need to return something I will know where to look.

Love the box! I have to admit, I use one of my small Organizing Bags to organize my receipts in my purse so I always know where to find them. The problem is when my husband does the shopping. Those receipts can never be found again.
