The first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning were the attacks. Hard to believe 8 years have come and gone since it happened. May all those affected, find peace and some sort of closure.
Before my husband left for work on Friday I asked him to put our flag out. Watched some of the specials on the History Channel about 9/11… still brings tears to my eyes.
I still remember watching the second tower fall on the news. When I went to work later our entire office staff stayed in one office all day just because none of us wanted to be alone. I remember that the most. Not wanting to be alone.

May it never, ever be forgotten.

It still brings tears to my eyes to think about it but am still amazed at how our country came together. Thanks for posting such a beautiful picture.

I flew my flag today also. I was only one of two people in my entire neighborhood to do so, though. That really broke my heart.
