This week’s Talk about Tuesday has a theme:
Talk about your purse or in my case purses.
For those of you who have known me forever, this will be a familiar picture

Don’t worry I still have the black one too.
This is the purse I use the most. It is a brown Coach purse that I got for Christmas a long time ago. I like it because it has a classic look and a long strap. I don’t like it because it is small and my stuff barely fits inside. Speaking of inside… here is a peek.

Inside my purse was my wallet, my Financial Peace money envelope, a few pens, a penny, a safety pin, and a dollar (woo hoo I’m rich!).
Yes, I have been following my smart habit and emptying out my purse every couple of days so it stays neat.
Recently I have started to make purses. This one I made from a place mat. I think it is a fun purse, I use it once a week. If you want to make one of these, here is the tutorial.

This purse I made from a skirt I bought at the thrift store and I lined it with one of my husband’s old shirts. I love how bright it is. I am not a bright person, my mother-in-law will vouch for me on this one, but I love this purse. I try to use it when I am wearing a color that is in the pattern.

There you have it, a little peek into my world of purses. I hope to start making more of my own soon, maybe this summer when I don’t have to worry about homeschooling cutting into my sewing time!

Way to go on a clean purse and don’t spend that dollar all in one place! Love the green purse. So cute!
I love the ones you’ve made, especially the one with the bead trim.
I love the beaded one – I am a bagoholic too
I love the ones you made and how neat and organized your own is, it’s a good idea to clean it out often. It’s amazing how much stuff can end up in your purse.
I love the bright colored one the best, but I am a bit partial to bright colors and fun patterns myself. I love that you are repurposing old clothes to make purses too. Maybe that’s what I’ll make with that fun shirt I just haven’t been able to get rid of yet.
Good job on making those 2 purses! They look great!
Wow- great purses you made. I’m amazed at anyone that can sew and make it useful and cute!
I love the purses that you made! So cute!
