Last month I embarked on a ten state road trip with my seven kids. Most of the trip I was the only adult in the car. 
To say my children did well would be an understatement, they did awesome… except for the three hour span between Pensacola and Tallahassee, Florida. Cora decided at some point after Pensacola that she was finished with the road trip, the problem was our hotel was in Tallahassee. She proceeded to scream, and scream some more, and scream some more.
We tried everything, toys, dvd’s, funny faces, ignoring her, and nothing worked, until I slipped a Seed’s Family Worship CD into the car stereo. Within a few minutes she calmed down and fell asleep, until we reached Tallahassee. Now, as most moms know, if something is working – don’t change it! So we listened to this CD for about two hours. Now, at the end of the two hours we were all a little tired of the CD, but the cool thing about this music is that it is all Bible verses, set to music. The only words in each song are scripture, so while your kids sing along they are actually learning Bible verses.
By the time we reached Tallahassee I had learned several new verses and my kids did too. The nice thing about these CD’s that the music isn’t annoying. Adults do a lot of the singing, the music is upbeat, and the tunes are catchy. All of my children have ipods or radios in their rooms and I love that I can give them these CD’s and know that they are listening to good music with a great message.
I have always thought putting scripture to music was a great way to help your kids (and yourself) memorize Bible verses, and these CD’s are great for the whole family. I plan on incorporating them into our homeschool Bible lessons this year too.

Wow, you know that phenomenon that happens when you hear about something and then everywhere you turn you see it or hear about it over and over and you think, “How did I never notice that before?” Well- it’s happening to me right now! I just “volunteered” (more like said…”ok, ok,ok- I’ll do it!”) to teach the preschool class for my home-school group last night when meeting with my group director. She wants us to use these, this very set of cd’s for worship in my class! She has them for her family and really likes them, they listen to them every day. She also said the same thing about them not being annoying. I’d never heard about them before yesterday, and then this is the second time I’ve come across them today!

I just started working in a faith based school part-time as a school counselor & would love these cd’s to play in my office. Ok, I’m going to admit something that I should probably be embarassed about, but hey – I blog, so I already write embarassing stuff all the time!
I have, on numerous occasions, found out while reading my Bible that “HEY – that’s a verse from that one song that I like!!!”
Yeah, duh…I know AFTERWARDS that they got it from the Bible, but on most occasions, I hear the song before I have read the Bible verse, so…yeah. Color me embarassed.
Anyway – we’d love to win the cd. I tend to wear a cd out I play it so much, so my husband would be THRILLED if I had something new to add to my current rotation of WOW cds! LOL

When I read the Bible and a verse reminds me of a song I know, I put a little musical note by the verse (I don’t know why). My 2 year old son was looking through my Bible yesterday and said “Mom, is this your music book?” (I’m also a piano teacher). Hi! Thanks for this giveaway! We live in the Pensacola area, and I will be in JAX at the end of the month. We have made that trip from P’Cola to Tallahassee a few times and had a screaming baby also (1 yr. old). I wonder if these cd’s would help. They closed the base up in Brunswick, ME and moved the squadrons to JAX, so almost everyone I knew up there is now in JAX. But we got moved to Milton instead, which is about 25 miles north of P’cola. This is the first I have heard of Seeds but went to their site and am quite impressed…my stepdaughter is a missionary in Ethiopia teaching children in a mission’s school…she also has a local ministry there for underprivileged girl’s in the community…I would love to send her a set of these CD’s to use in her ministry with these children!

Interesting post–I just got something like this from my local public library.
Oh I would love to have this set. I have a mom that I care for who has altzheimers. She gets really restless at night and so far the only thing that calms her is praying with her or reading to her from the bible. I would love to be able to try this music and see if that helps her too.

Bible verses set to music is by far, the easiest way to teach scripture to children AND adults. We used to listen to the Hide ‘Em In Your Heart and the Wee Sing Bible Song CDs. I still remember the books of the Bible that way.
