Laura over at Heavenly Homemakers is hosting a fall giveaway carnival this week. I am so excited as I have lots of stuff to giveaway, but haven’t had time to write up the posts. So, her carnival was just the motivation I needed to get it in gear and start the giveaways.

Today’s giveaway is a really great book titled Real Moms…Real Jesus. I was given this book to read and I was immediately drawn to the title.
Jill Savage, the author, takes events from Jesus’ life and relates them to our lives as mothers. Her words are encouraging and the book is filled with references to scripture. The fact that Jill has five kids of her own gives her just a little credibility on the subject of motherhood. 
Her writing style makes you feel like a friend has come along side to encourage you.
This book is divided into small easy to read sections that fits perfectly with a busy mom’s schedule. I found myself picking it up throughout the day and reading a page or two for encouragement.

oh this book sounds great! just what I need right about now when the house is out of control and the laundry and kitchen need tending, but there’s homeschool to do and I’m pulled in so many different directions!!! it’ll definitely be on my Christmas list in the event I don’t win!

I just wanted to thank you so much for this blog….I’m a “new” born again Christian and I get so overwhelmed by everything out there. I am blessed to work the second shift so I’m able to be with my kids during the day but have to work a full time job until 1am and then start again at 7am (I am not complaining…I was unemployed for two years which really hurt us). Even if I don’t win the book, I’m definately interested in getting it….I need all the help I can get!!!

I am a sahm to 5 children and just recently lost my best friend.(my mother) I have been slacking and need a pick me up, after reading your story on what you went through with your husband and how you still held everything together it brought tears to my eyes.
