It is totally unfair, because he took the easy way out…
Here is girl #2, she is doing the olive oil treatment.
In a previous post I threatened to shave my head, but I don’t think I look good in a hat. My mother-in-law believes otherwise and sent me this picture.

This might become a permanent look for me if things don’t improve soon!
I promise I am not going to change the name of this blog to
The Happy Lousewife, I will write about other things soon.

I have so been there, done that! My daughter is 11 now, but when she was in Kindergarten….we got some lice. We used REAL mayo….works much like the olive oil. Bagged up the stuffed animals and comforters….diligently washed sheets and hairbrushes…put plastic sheets on the beds….checked heads every day. The best thing: you can do the mayo or olive oil EVERY DAY if needed,as opposed to the chemicals that you are supposed to wait 7 days or something like that. Plus, at that time, the mayo (generic) was a buck….the disposable shower caps were also a buck for 15. But, here we are 6 plus years later….lice free. Those little buggers are a pain but with diligence, you will get rid of them.
“jimmy” and “jerry” will be hard to tell apart, it we ever get the news that I have to wear closed-toed shoes again! I love ya, but I am really glad I am not there yet!
Ugh! We have been there…too many times! The first time I had to deal with head lice, my daughter was in Kindergarten and I was 6 months pregnant with my youngest. Not only was I clueless about dealing with head lice, but my daughter had hair down to her waist! It took us a couple of weeks to finally get a handle on things. Now, we can get rid of infestations in about 24 hours with two tablespoons of olive oil and 20 drops of tea tree oil per head and a plastic bag (just like you picture). Stuffed animals live in a garbage bag for three weeks and everything gets vaccuumed. The most valuable lesson we learned is to be sure to apply hair gel to the kids’ hair when they are going on camping trips or other overnighters. Seems hair gel is a great deterent! Good luck!

Oh boy, lice are hard to get rid of. I pray that all is well soon.
Blessings, Mama Karen
I have always used NIX I know it isn’t natural but it really works. I had it several times as a kid and my mom has tried everything in every brand. Even prescriptions. NIX is the BEST! It not only kills the lice but the nits also. You want to make sure to comb the hair through good with a nit comb to get all of those little eggs out. My head is itching now LOL! I hope that is a help to you! I have super thick long hair that was past my butt at the time and mom didn’t have to cut an inch of my hair because the nix took care of it! Hugs,
Jess
oh yuck!
I hate lice!
Isn’t it good to know we all hate it because we have had them????
