More Commissary Deals

Thanks to Rita who emailed me about the following deals. You can view all of her deals at her website.

There are two better-than-free items at the commissary with printable coupons – they are not sale & coupon combinations, so they should work for as long as the coupons don’t expire.

The first is a coupon for $10/2 Glucerna multipack of shakes or 2 boxes of bars. Shakes are either $6.99 or $7.99, don’t remember, but bars are $3.44 each. That’s a $3.12 overage. Website doesn’t seem to be printing these anymore, so this would work for people who had the coupons but never found the shakes like me.

The second is free Kotex that lots of people grab from Walmart – the commissary sell them at $0.84, so with the $1/1 Kotex printable or from All You, that’s a $0.16 overage.

I noticed on a quick trip yesterday that select Kelloggs cereals are $1.69. This could be a great deal with the 10/$10 Kelloggs rebate combined with coupons.

If you have any commissary deals you would like to share please leave a comment or email me at thehappyhousewife@comcast.net.

I love your blog! yesterday I went to the commissery with my list and also my meal plans. I’ve read a lot of blogs on ways to save money on regular grocery stores and this one is great! Yesterday, the lysol clean up wipes were on sale for a 3 pack 110 count for $9. I passed their regular aisle and found 50 cent coupons so I grabbed three. The cashier let me use one per item (even though they were wrapped) and I saved $1.50. We didn’t need 3 so I gave one to my SIL. ; ) I also live in the Washington, DC area with my hubby, so your grocery budget is a little more reasonable to me since food is so much more expensive in this area. I love that the commissery takes both manufacturers’ coupons and they have coupons usually on the products themselves. Milk, meat, and produce are always cheaper there than anywhere else. Thanks for your blog!
