I hope the borax and water solution will work for her. You might also mention to her that she should inspect for any and every crumb that might be an attraction for ants. I've found that it doesn't take much to get their attention - so an absolutely clean floor, chair legs, etc... is necessary. A quick wipe down with a 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 water solution in a spray bottle is very handy. I wish her luck in ridding her home of the little pests! I liked your blog.
