Little Things

I like my room, I like the color of the walls, my new brown quilt, the furniture my in-laws gave us. But truth be told, I am getting a little bored sitting, resting and waiting. I know it is what is best for me and the baby, but the days are long up here in my room.

On Saturday my husband took the kids to Costco for free samples and cheap pizza. They came home with these.

It is amazing how a bouquet of flowers has made my room so much more enjoyable. Even sweeter is the fact that it was my seven year old son’s idea to buy me the flowers. He even had his wallet with him and offered to pay for the bouquet.

The days just got a lot shorter with my new view.

    Aw! How sweet is that?
I spent 14 weeks on bedrest with my daughter. I thought it was never going to end!
Hope everyone is doing well! You’re in my prayers! :)

    Aww!

Keep up the awesome work with your blog. I read quite a few and you have now been bumped up to my favorite. Of course it helps that you are pregnant and about the same due date as I am. And I love your organizational info, I am exactly the same way. Otherwise I think we have nothing in common (no military on my end, I don’t home school, only on kid #3, etc.)… But I still enjoy your posts the best! I’d send you flowers too if I could!

  4. your flowers are beautiful.

  5. Nancy M. says:

How beautiful! That was so sweet of your son to want to buy those for you!

  6. Sarah E. says:

Yea! I love when my hubby surprises me with flowers. And I make sure to tell everyone that the Wal-Mart flowers usually last at least twice as long as the expensive floral shop flowers he’s bought me before. :)

  7. Ahhh, what a sweet boy to want to pay for the flowers! I am sooo gonna hound you to link this up to Finer Things Friday! (if you’re still around, that is…)

  8. Tasha says:

    How sweet is that!

  9. Kelley says:

The flowers are beautiful! Most of us ladies here in Guam miss the fresh flowers. The commissary doesn’t carry any and the on- base flower shop is very exspensive!! Enjoy!!

It does melt your heart when your son thinks of these things. Mine is 22 and I treasure the memories of him doing special things for me like that.

    Hang in there!

How sweet. I have never been on bed rest, but always thought it would be kind of nice, for a day or two. Can’t imagine doing it for weeks. Good luck with the baby, hopefully it will be soon.

  23. Becky says:

You brought tears to my eyes today! What a sweet little guy!!!!!
Hang in there. I did the bedrest thing last year for four weeks, but my little guy came early anyway–at 32 weeks. He is fine but spent 23 days in the NICU and was on A/B monitor for four months. So the bedrest is definitely worth it, when you’re trying to keep that little one inside! Every extra day inside makes a huge difference in their little lives. :-)
    Enjoy those beautiful flowers!

  24. Monique says:
