Good news, my blood levels went up slightly so I do not need a transfusion and I get to go home today! I am so happy. I don’t think I have been away from the kids this long in my entire life! Too bad my time away was spent in the hospital and not a tropical island somewhere!
Still not sure about Cora. Her bilirubin levels remained the same from yesterday, which is a good thing (they didn’t get worse) so she is still using “the force” to get better. I spoke with her nurse this morning and she was actually awake for her last feeding and ate 35 cc’s! That is really good news as we have had to work really hard to get her to eat 20 cc’s most of the time.
I don’t have any pictures uploaded from last night. I came back to my room and went to bed. The doctor told me this morning to take it super, super easy until my levels have a chance to build back up. So much for being off bed rest! I plan to take her advice, since I do tend to feel pretty crummy whenever I do too much.
I’ll try to post another Cora update this afternoon and hopefully a few pictures while she is awake.
Thanks for praying and all your wonderful comments.

Yay! Thanks for sharing the good news – I hope Cora gets to come home soon too!
Well, I am glad to know that you are doing better and will be heading home. I am very sorry to hear that Cora may not be with you. I will be praying for her to come on home very soon.
That’s great news! I’m sure Cora will be coming home very soon.
I know it must be hard leaving that little one at the hospital. I went through the same thing and my baby stayed behind a whole month. My heart was breaking without her everyday. Prayer and many visits got me through it. Plus the love of being with my older children was a blessing. I’ll keep you in my prayers! Be blessed!!!!
Great news that you’re going home! Hope Cora gets to go home with you, or at least in the next day or so.
Get as much rest as possible!
I’m very glad that you get to go home. I can only imagine how much you miss your kiddos. I’ve got my fingers crossed that sweet Cora gets released today too.
Take it easy, you!
That is great news. I will be praying for your family and Miss Cora. Hope all continues to go well. Grab a good book and…REST
Yea! I hope Cora gets released asap too.
I’m so happy that you and Cora are both improving. That’s what happened to me after delivery, and I was lucky that our hospital had extra rooms so I could continue to stay while John remained under the lights.
It is hard to be tired, postpartum, and worried about your baby. Hang in there. You have all my family’s prayers!
Congratulations on the birth of your sweet little patootie! =) Ooooh I love her jedi picture. =)
Take it easy – it’s great to see your Mama there helping out. =)
In other news, did you know that chocolate is a great blood-builder? Chocolate shakes. Brownies with ice cream. Easter chocolate. It’s all good stuff… =D =D
Take care of yourself. =)

I am so glad you don’t have to have a transfusion. I do hope you get some rest and build your levels back up. I hope Cora won’t need the force too much longer. She’s gorgeous and I can’t wait to see more pictures!
If God be for us ,

Romans 8:31
Praise God for the good report!
Happy Palm Sunday indeed.
Will coninue to pray for many more blessings !
Oh, I still remember having to leave Big D at the hospital when I went home. My thoughts are with you as that is not an easy thing to have to do. She looks to be doing very well though, which is great.
I am glad to hear shes doing better and so are u. Hope shes comes home easy and take it easy always katena
I know this sounds silly but our dr. suggests ice cream for getting back on your feet. It’s good calcium and good fats your body needs. So many have a yummy burger, a salad and ice cream! You will be back on your feet in no time!
great!! so glad to hear you are doing better!! I’m sure Cora will be headed home soon, too!! like you said, really healthy is GOOD!!!
Hi Sleeping Beauty!

Congratulations.
Wonderful news that you are both doing better.
I don’t believe this. I took a little time off and I come back to see what Toni is up to and you had the baby already???? Seriously????
Boy, I will never get behind on my blog-reading again.
Congrats!!!! She is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Mine were jaundiced too and had to go under the lights.
That thing they wrap around them is cool. It’s like a portable hose or something. We could carry him from room to room and just plug him in, anywhere. Lol! It wrapped around him or something. Anyway! Enjoy your dolly and take it easy!
I know you are so happy to be going home. I will continue to pray for Cora that she will be home soon also.
What terrific news!! You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers! Take it easy and be good to yourself!
I know, from experience, how good it is to be home again, but the conflict you feel leaving the baby! Hang in there!
The neonatologist told us the billirubin levels usually peak by day 5, so hopefully, her levels will start coming down in the next couple of days. It’s very common for 35- or 36-weekers to be readmitted to the hospital for dehydration or jaundice, so I’ll be praying that she will be strong and healthy enough to come home and STAY home!!
Congratulations to you and your family! I’m glad to hear you finally get to go home. I don’t know about you, but I despise that time in the hospital with every one poking and prodding and waking you up every time you finally fall asleep.
Anyway, I hope little Cora gets to go home really soon and that you all stay healthy and well!
Good morning to you AMAZING MOM! I knew since I han’t heard back from you that you must be performing a miracle (bringing your little one into the world) … congratulations to both of you … to the whole family. I wish you much needed rest and look forward to hearing from you again when life settles down.
Sending many prayers …
Rhonda
