I took the weekend off as we visited with friends from out of town.
Took a trip to our nation’s capital

Attended a concert by the Naval Academy band…
and had a party at our house after the concert. (Did I mention that I don’t like shoes in the house…)

I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend too! Don’t forget to swing by Chick-Fil-A to get your free chicken sandwich today. We picked up our nine free sandwiches for lunch. They were yummy!

We just got back from getting ours! Thanks for the heads up!!
Oh, we did a trip to Washington last year and it was wonderful. I was amazed at the free museums, the architecture and the beautiful gardens!
Happy Labor Day!
DC is so much fun and so educational for the kids!
Sounds like y’all had fun! My goodness that is a lot of shoes!
Love the shoes! HAHA!
Thanks for the photos of your Labor Day. We stayed home cuz Sunday afternoon we were at my son’s apt. I made taco salad to take with us. Yum and they served apple pie and Super man ice cream for dessert later. Enjoyed playing with my granddaughter and got some cute photos. This afternoon I baked a double batch of Ranger Cookies and made Deconstructed Lasgna for dinner. It was delcious! (Found in Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine, Feb 2009 Probably can find it on her website as well.)www.rachaelray.com
Meal plan for rest of week is pork loin in broth with mini ravioli for Tues and meat loaf with veggies and cornbread for Wed. Then off to coast for a few days. Dinner on Thurs. is lasagne by Marie Callendar (frozen) at cabin we’re staying at. Have a good week!!!

looks like a wonderful time. Chic fil a is sending me a coupon for a free sandwich for signing up for something free on their site. Its great, I look forward to taking the girls there for a nice treat one Saturday afternoon when hubs has to work. (with other coupons of course!) Off to make some bread, the paddle came for my breadmaker this weekend and I am beyond thrilled to get to use it!
Looks like you all had a nice Labor Day! I too don’t like shoes in the house, much less all over the house
Thanks for the Chic fil a tip, we also picked up 9 sandwiches that day…YUM!!!
As aways I enjoy reading about your family happenings.
We would have done the whole chic fil a thing IF we lived closer to one!
Do you live in the DC area? That is what I gather from this post. I’ve visited your blog a few times and didn’t realize that. I live in the DC area, northern VA, and love it! We lived in MD for a while, too, while my hubby was in the Army. When he got out, he got a job near the Pentagon and we moved to cut down on the commute.
