H&R Block is offering free electronic tax filing for the military. We’ve used this free service every year (until last year because things got too complicated) and I highly recommend it.
In order for your filing to be free you’ll need to go through the link at Military OneSource.
If you aren’t in the military you can still file electronically for free through H&R Block.
The benefit of going through Military OneSource, if you are military, is that you can also file up to three state returns for free.
Non military only receive free electronic filing of their federal tax return, there is a charge for state returns when you use H&R Block.
