A few months ago I had the opportunity to visit a movie set and learn a little bit about the movie making process. It was an amazing experience and I’ve been looking forward to watching the finished product for a few months.

Last weekend I was able to screen the movie with my whole family and we loved it! It was neat to see the scenes I watched being filmed integrated into the movie. I also loved that the movie was totally appropriate for all my children ages 2 to 16! You can watch Field of Vision with your family this Saturday night, June 11, on NBC at 8pm EST.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the movie:
Through mysterious footage captured on an old malfunctioning video camera, Sinclair High School’s star quarterback, Tyler McFarland, learns that some of his teammates have been bullying Cory Walker, a troubled new transfer student. Aware that sharing this information with the coach might get his friends kicked off the team and ultimately cost the school the state championship, Tyler must choose what’s more important: winning or doing what’s right.
As these events unfold, the camera also reveals more surprising footage to Tyler’s kid sister Lucy… She learns that Cory has a secret past, unknown even to him. Now Lucy must convince her mom (Faith Ford, Murphy Brown) and family that the camera’s revealing insight is not a product of her imagination as she enlists their help to find the answers Cory so desperately needs. It’s a compelling and intriguing story that shows both the challenges and rewards of doing the right thing even when it’s tough to do.

Family movie night is the most popular night at our house! What a great idea for a giveaway. We have an ancient “camcorder” and would love a shot to win a new one. We’ve got great things planned for the summer and would love to capture it digitally to share with friends and family. Being a military family makes it so hard for share our special moments with family spread across the country. For example, my baby girl is graduating from pre-K today–we’d love to have a video of that to share with grandparents!
