Cora and Kit ~ Nine Days Old

People keep telling me how quickly Cora will grow, I know~ I have a fourteen year old who stands a few inches taller than me. It seems like yesterday I brought her home from the hospital and now she is borrowing my clothes!

So, in order to remember Miss Cora’s tiny beginnings, each week she will have her picture taken with Kit, The American Girl doll. Why Kit? When I told my oldest how long Cora was she told me Cora was smaller than Kit, so I thought it would be appropriate to use Kit as our constant in the pictures.

Cora was not thrilled about this photo-op as she was ready to eat, hopefully next week she will be a happier baby.

I am so glad that your blog is back up. Little Cora is precious. You are very blessed

  2. What a precious girl! I know a woman whose daughter was born very premature–she was so small that a beanie baby was bigger than she was! She wore doll clothes!

That is the most adorable thing. Sweet little precious baby. Now you go feed her… = -)
    Thanks for sharing with us.
    Big hugs little cora

She is so precious! That’s a wonderful idea to use something constant in the pictures so you can see how she grows.

    Happy Easter!

  5. Michele says:

Adorable! Cora looks like she is trying to strech out as long as she can so she can be the longest! :)

  6. Sandi says:

Cora should borrow Kit’s outfit. How cute would that be?!?!! =)

  7. Too cute!

  8. Marie says:

She’s too cute! No wonder the poor girl is getting tangled up in newborn clothes!

What an awesome idea! I remember comparing our little girls footprints to my daughters American Girl doll. I wish we would have thought of that.

Love the new skinny you and the new baby pic in your header. You’re a good artist (is it you that made the header?)

i did the same with my first. She was so tiny, so small, I took her first picture in a salad bowl!
Who would immagine that 16 years after she would be taller than me….
Take photos Tony, because small babies grow so much faster than larger babies…Soon you will forget ho tiny she was!
    love to you all….

  13. How sweet!

I know, I look back at the preemie clothes that “swallowed” my girls and I can not imagine them ever being that tiny! It does go fast!

  14. Lawanda says:

    Awwwwwwwwww SOOOOO SWEET!!! ♥

  15. Sherry says:

Too cute! They definitely grow quick!!

  16. Stephanie says:

That’s a great idea! I’d like to do something similar. The “timing” of photos with newborns can be a bit tricky, can’t it? It’s tough to catch a moment when they’re happy and awake, but not hungry. :)

Yeah, congrats on having Cora home. I love that name, infact we almost named our little one that but she had two big brothers who wanted to name her after a dinosaur and I wanted a biblical name so we settled on Cera. But I usually call her CJ. She is beautiful!!!
