I want to thank you for sharing your story. WE are all not perfect so sharing your story helps me among others I’m sure see you are a real person and we all fail. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve failed. I think sometimes we think people will judge us, but who are we to judge as we have things we aren’t proud of either..

Here is a question for you!

I have a son who is almost 3. He will begin preschool this fall. For the past few months he has been “strong willed”, er DIFFICULT is more like it. He is like this with ME only, and not his Dad. I am a SAHM and am with him the majority of the time. All I hear is that “he is going through a phase”. Well my sanity is out the window and my nerves are shot. So…..I am wondering if you’ve had this problem with any of your kids, particularly your boys, and if so how did you get through it?

The wrong or “bad” things we’ve done or ways we’ve acted are often pretty easy to hide. So it becomes ever easier for us to allow others to think we have always been and are always the good way they see us. Not only is this obviously not true for most people, but it’s not just dishonest with others, but also with ourselves… when we can share the good and the bad we are not only more real, with a depth that comes from REAL life, to others, but also we are more grounded in humility. At least, that’s what I think. This is some of the reasoning behind the posts I write about my bad feelings, crummy feelings, frustrated feelings. There are too many people who think I’m all wonderful… I’m not. I’m totally REAL! And real people have freckles and farts. *sigh* Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I’m totally looking forward to your next chapter. Reality and all. Most people become more wonderful in my mind’s eye when I see the wholeness of reality in them!

I understand that you aren’t proud of your behavior in the past so it’s hard for you to do but I promise that it is beneficial to others. It gives me hope that I can become a better housewife knowing that you weren’t always so awesome at it. Thank you so much for sharing it.

While you may not be proud of your past, it makes the transformation all the more meaningful. I think that is why so many women (including me!) are excited to read the rest of your story. I’m fairly new to your site, but I love it so far!
