Last week I was sent a package of Weight Watchers Golden Sponge Cakes to taste and review. My kids were super excited about this taste test because normally I do not buy packaged snacks. But I could not pass up some free treats so I agreed to try these cakes.
The first thing I checked was the size. These snack cakes are only one point on the Weight Watchers plan. Usually, items that are diet foods are the size of a thimble and leave me wanting seventeen more to feel full. These cakes were decent sized and looked exactly like they did on the front of the box, another plus.
As for the taste, they were surprisingly good. After opening them up, I expected a twinkie chemical taste but there was none. These tasted like a cross between pound cake and angel food cake. They were very sweet and I was satisfied after eating only one. My kids loved them too.
I think these would be a great on the go treat, or if you are on Weight Watchers these would make a great dessert.
If you would like to try some of these Weigh Watchers cakes for free leave me a comment. I have three coupons for one free package of Weight Watchers Snack Cakes, Muffins or Soft Cookies.
I will randomly pick three winners at the end of the week. Remember to leave an email address so I can contact you if you win.

OMGoodness I love these. I adore the cupcakes. But I cannot stop at just one. Nope. I usually end up eating the whole box in a day.
Not good :p
But they are definitely yummy!

This look like a great treat! I love that they are weight watchers. Thanks.

Ooh, I love WW snacks – they do a great job of making satisfying snacks that won’t blow the calorie count for the day.

My best friend is on weight watchers and on the lookout for one point snacks! she’d love these!

I just signed up for Weight Watchers online. I haven’t tried any of their desserts yet, a coupon would be great!

Those look good, I would love to try them.

I cannot picture you eating these. Nor can I picture myself eating them. But, hey, free is good. (And I did visit the Twinkie factory – AKA Continental Bakery – on the best field trip a third-grader could possibly take.)

Those look good. I agree. They are usually Barbie Doll size and not worth the effort. I haven’t tried those, but its nice to have something sweet that isn’t awful for you.

I almost bought some of these! I would love to win, but even if I don’t I’ll buy a box now that I’ve read what you said. I have a coupon, but it’s not as good as a free one.

Nothing heats up the internet like a free handful of Ding Dongs.

That Todd guy is really funny! I have never tried these… they must be new. If your youngest son liked them they must be good… did he like them? If so put my name in the ring.

Thanks for the review! I have seen these snack cakes and wondered how they were. I was scared to try them but now I will pick some up next time I go to the store. Yay!

I know what you mean about checking the size…today I bought some 100 calorie packs of cinnamon coffee cakes. I had bought something like this before and so I thought I knew the interior packages…well – turns out they are just about the size of the thimble you mentioned. And I’m sure a healthy muffin I made myself could be larger and just as healthy (if not more).

Creamy filling–yummy!

Oh, I just saw these advertised and have been wanting to try them. Thanks!

I’m glad to hear that they aren’t tiny – I suspected something cakey and cream filled to be miniscule to count as one point!

I haven’t had a weight watchers dessert in years… last time I had them I had a frozen cheesecake I believe…so glad to see they now make pastries! I would love to try their line line of desserts and goodies, glad to hear that they are good.
