Overwhelmed…
Is it possible to cancel all Christmas and birthdays for the next 10 years? After dragging carrying our stuff across the street for the past 4 days, I can firmly state that we have way too much stuff. I do not want anything else to enter my house for at least the next 10 years.
It seems that just when I get a room organized, someone arrives with another load of stuff. The really bad part is that the process keeps repeating, and repeating, there is no end to the stuff.
I am tired and have been eating Taco Bell leftovers all day, so perhaps that is clouding my brain. I have a great (well, at least I think) frugal post floating around in my head, if I ever get time to write it…
For now I was thinking about changing my name…

Frustrating and tiresome now, but you know, when it’s time to move again the thrill of the new duty station will overcome any weariness of moving
I’ve become a purger because we move so much. Granted, we don’t have as many kids. But if it stands still too long it’s gone.
Awww! ((Hugs)) I know EXACTLY how you feel. The *stuff* is sooooo overwhelming. I have yet to convince everyone to stop buying my kids gifts for bdays and holidays, though :-p
Hang in there…let us pray you through this tough, hot, dusty time.
I remember standing in front of my little Maryland house, having movers tell me there was no way they could get all the boxes in. I looked at them and said, “Those boxes all came out of here four years ago and they WILL fit. We didn’t buy any furniture and we are not signing papers until you get them all in.” They did it, but it was definitely a low point in my moving career.
Praying hard for all of you…
Hang in there! I absolutely hate moving. I hate the chaos, the un organization and the drive to have everything unpacked and back in order RIGHT NOW.
When we bought our first house a few years ago it helped me to get through the craziness of moving by taking a step back and remembering why we were moving. It really helped for me to focus on the positive side of the move - especially when all the negative was staring at me in the face.
How about the I’mgonnamakeit Housewife…? Moving is so not fun…but the pictures of your house look great and it’s gonna be so nice when you get everything unpacked and settled! It’s a beautiful home! I’ll be praying for you!!
