Old House, New House

June 2, 2008 · 14 comments

Lara is hosting a really fun Talk about Tuesday, on the first of every month we will be talking about our houses.

I would love to give you a tour of my house, but I am moving in 6 days so the tour will have to wait until next month. I can show you pictures of the outside of my house. If you want the long story you can read about it here. Our old house is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath. Our new house is a 5 bedroom 3 bath.

The best thing is that they are right across the street from eachother. The new house is the house on the right side of the picture. The old house has the suburban in the driveway.

I can’t wait to move and show you all the inside of my new house next month!

Stop by Lara’s blog to see the inside of some houses, hopefully she will show us pictures of her super organized house!

What a cute house! My husband is in the Coast Guard and I have to say the difference in provided housing is huge (if there even IS any housing..usually none). I hope your move goes smoothly and enjoy all that extra space..you’ve earned it! What great neighbors you have!

I just wanted to let you know that I live 5 minutes from you! (off the base). My dh is retired navy and we live in Hanover, by the mall.

Those houses are so cute! I can’t believe that is base housing. So what do you do when you’re moving that far? Use a truck or carry everything across the street?

Have fun with all that space!

before reading the whole post, i scrolled back and forth between the top two pictures, trying to figure out if you had added on, or what. “but that LOOKS like the same house…” ha!

just like makakona, I thought they looked very similar. I was thinking maybe you were just adding on the additional bedrooms and 1/2 bath. Both of them are cute houses. I would LOVE to have 5 bedrooms and more than one bathroom!!

Ack! I left a comment and then lost my connection to your blog. At any rate, congratulations on the larger home and on its wonderful location. Your neighbors sound terrific!

Those house are so cute! Much nicer than any base housing I’ve seen (although that was decades ago). I used to be a Navy wife, but we never had base housing.

I moved a lot when I was a kid (my dad is in God’s army) and I always loved it. Not the actual moving part but the part of getting a new house! I bet your kids are extremely excited!
