My vacation should be renamed sew-cation. I have been sewing up a storm during my time off this week. Unfortunately I cannot show you the majority of my goodies until after Christmas. But I can show you this cute Christmas dress that is so easy to make! I think it took me about 1.5 hours to put it together and I added some extra steps and had a few mistakes. You can find the tutorial here.

I am able to give you a little peek at my Christmas concoctions… more coming December 26th!

I have decided that fabric is my new favorite way to wrap gifts! Soooo cute and you can reuse it again and again!

Oh my goodness that is adorable!!! I am not too good at sewing yet but I would love to give this a try.
Pink—Yahoo!!! (not that blue would have not gotten a yahoo too : )
I made the Chicken Pot Pie today with homemade crust. They are in the oven as I write. The crust came out a terrible mess : (
But I think I know what part of the problem is. They were sticking to the counter. They would look half decent and then when I would go and lift it it would break apart. My first set of crust did alot of breaking while I was rolling them out. The last crust I made was the best….a mess but still the best. Any suggestions? I know years ago I saw a plastic thing you roll dough out on and then all you have to do is flip that over. I am going to be on the hunt for it.

I wish I could sew. One of my lifetime goals is to learn how to sew. This is a really cute dress. I have never thought about gift wrapping presents using cloth. Neat idea.

Wow! What a great way to wrap gifts!
I love your daughter, and her dress, too…so sweet the both of them.
I would enjoy seeing your other Christmas sewing creations.
You, my dear lady, are a wonderful mother.
Love, Ernestine

I really need a sew-cation. I keep telling my husband he needs to take the kids out of the house for a day. He doesn’t think I’m serious. I have a gazillion projects I want to do before Christmas and I don’t think I’ll get to more than a few. Oh well, maybe if I start now, I can have them done by next year LOL! (I’ll probably come up with more by then though)
