This time I am not moving hosting companies or houses, just more furniture. We cut down our Christmas tree this weekend and the kids are chomping at the bit to get it in the house. We needed to do some furniture rearranging in order to make space for the tree. Last week the kids and I moved the bookcases, this week my husband (not me for all of you worried about my back) and kids moved the rest of the living room furniture, including the piano. Tomorrow night we will decorate, play Christmas music, drink hot chocolate and try not to break any ornaments.
The Tree
Living Room Before
Hard Workers
Final Arrangement (actually we will move the big brown chair because that is the Christmas tree spot)

It must have been a lot of work moving all those books!! I can’t wait to see photos of the tree!

I love the after layout. It looks so put together and will look amazing with the tree. So where did you end up putting the bookshelf?

I’m jealous of that real tree smell you’ll have. Can’t wait to see the finished product.

The tree looks beautiful, can’t wait to see pictures of it decorated. We had to move my son’s train table to make a spot for our tree, which we still don’t have yet.

I have to do some furniture moving myself tonight … alone. This empty nest can be depressing at this time of year, but I plan to erect my new faux tree, play Christmas CDs, and sit my my lit Advent wreath. Want to share some of your kids with me?!

You had me going with that post title. I’m glad you’re not moving houses! We had a great Thanksgiving. It’s hard getting back to school!

Where did you end up getting your tree while you were here?

OH I LOVED cutting down a fresh tree! Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my mom and I at the tree farm
Great pictures! Have fun getting that beautiful tree trimmed!

I liked the new spot for the piano. It looks nice there. I hate to admit this but we never bothered moving our furniture BACK after last year’s tree. I have a fall/winter and spring/summer furniture placement that I like to do but never did this year. So we are ready for the tree. Now we just have to get it….

IHello,
I skipped over to your blog from momstheword and was delighted to see that you have 6 children, which is encouraging. Not many people have 6 children, it seems. I have 5 but have always wanted at least 6; really, I wanted more. I will be back to visit soon. Can’t wait to see the tree!
