1. Bible Study/ Devotions ~ Continue to read my one-year chronological bible every day. Work on small group homework.
2. Must Do ~ Prepare meals for week because dh is having surgery.
3. Zones~ I have inherited a garden plot. This week I need to plan out what I am going to plant, make a list of things I need to purchase, map the garden, and order seeds. I hope to journal my garden experience on the blog since I am a first time gardener. I would like to see if gardening saves money, breaks even, or just gives you the satisfaction of growing your own food.
4. Train Them Up ~This is a challenge this week because I will be in and out of the house with my husband’s surgery. I want to make the most of the time I am home with the kids this week. I also have some bible verses I need to memorize so I think I am going to have the kids learn them as well.
5. Menu Planning~ My menu is up. Check it out here.

*For those of you who read this regularly, here is an update on the frugal mom’s meeting I went to last week. The meeting was great. We basically sat around and exchanged frugal tips with each other. The first part of the meeting focused primarily on food. Since we all shop at the commissary there wasn’t much debate about where the bargains are, although we did agree that Costco beats the commissary on shredded cheese. We also shared thrift store finds and some websites like Freecycle and Craig’s list. I think meeting with people you live around is a great idea. There are so many opportunities that are location based, and just connecting with people on the web isn’t enough. I learned of another thrift store in town that I had driven by a bunch, but didn’t know it was there. If you aren’t sure where to start, ask some ladies in your church, homeschool group, craft club, etc… if they would be interested in getting together once a month to share thrifty ideas with one another. It is a great way to network locally and find frugal friends.
