Menu Plan Week of September 21st

September 20, 2009 · 8 comments

What we are eating this week:

Breakfast:

Whole wheat pancakes, Oatmeal, French Toast, Eggs and toast, Pear Muffins

Lunch:

Sandwiches, Fruit, Veggies, Yogurt, Cheese and crackers, Smoothies

Dinner:

Beef Stroganoff – No Mushroom Recipe

Served with tossed salad, bread from the bread machine, carrots

Whole Wheat Pizza This easy and recipe can be made in the bread machine for a quick meal on busy nights.

Served with fresh pineapple and seasonal veggies

Baked Chicken Legs (If it is too warm, I’ll grill them instead)

Served with brown rice, green beans, and whole wheat bread

Tuna Noodle Casserole This meal can be made the night before and kept in the fridge. It actually tastes better the second day.

Served with fresh fruit

Mini Corn Dog Muffins I thought this would be a fun Friday night meal!

Served with carrot sticks, apple slices

Your menu looks great! I like that you added what sides you’ll serve with each dish. I wish cookbooks would offer side suggestions with their recipes. It really helps menu planning.

I bought way too many gorgeous pears at the farmers market this weekend; those breakfast muffrins sound like a delicious way to use some up. Thanks!

I love pear muffins – and pears. I got some in my CSA share this week and had them for breakfast. Looks like your family hasis going to have lots of variety and so many healthy options that kids would love.

I have a question: Do you think those mini corn muffins would freeze well? I’m trying to stock my freezer for after baby.
