Menu Plan Week of February 9th ~ Plus a Hot Breakfast Giveaway!

February 9, 2009 · 77 comments

The Hot Breakfast Challenge continues at the Happy House. Last week we enjoyed pancakes, French toast, eggs, oatmeal, and cinnamon rolls. A hot breakfast does not have to be fancy, eggs with a slice of whole wheat toast and some fresh fruit is a delicious and healthy alternative to preservative laden pre-packaged breakfast products.

Last week I purchased Heavenly Homemakers Breakfast Cookbook to find more recipes for this challenge. This week Laura from Heavenly Homemakers has offered to give one away to you! This cookbook is filled with great recipes, pictures and ideas for a healthy breakfast.
Scroll down to the end of the post to find out how to enter and win Think Breakfast… Outside of the Box.

Menu Plan Week of February 9

Breakfast

Biscuits and Fruit, Whole Wheat Pancakes, and French Toast. I am going to try Laura’s Honey Oat Crunch Cereal recipe (which is technically not a hot breakfast, but it is healthy), and

Dinners (still working from my 30 Days of Meals you can find the links below)

Here is my 30 Days of Meals list. The meals that are crossed off are ones we have already made for this 30 day period. I won’t cross off this weeks meals until I actually make them.

Breakfast is my favorite meal, anytime during the day.
We have breakfast for dinner at least twice a month.
I could use some great new recipes.
Thanks!

Oh I would love this! I have told the boys I am no longer buying cereal and they would have eat something else for breakfast. We are doing good so far but more ideas would be great!

We are cutting back and moving away from cold cereal everyday so it requires more planning, but it’s way better in the long run! This book would really help us meet our goals and enjoy breakfast everyday.

I’ve been enjoying your blog for awhile, and am also trying to get my family to eat healthy and cheaper breakfasts. My biggest problem is getting up early enough to prepare a breakfast. For some reason, my baby thinks she should get to nurse first thing every morning. I did however, make OATMEAL this morning, but sadly, only my kids went hungry. OH well, someday they will be hungry enough to eat it.

This sounds great. I’m always looking for new breakfast ideas. “Regular” breakfast items just don’t fill my boys up enough!

I have breakfast ready for my 3 kids plus I also serve breakfast to my daycare kids that are here early, so a few nice twists to our breakfasts would be so much appreciated…and I’m sure the kids would agree too!!!
