A reader emailed me today to let me know about a special on chicken at the Maxwell AFB commissary. All of
their chicken is on sale – basically averaging about 0.85-1.00 a pound – breasts, split breasts, full birds and drum sticks. The gal said it was their labor day special. They were also adding $1.50 off coupons. So for example this reader bought 3.5 pounds of split chicken breasts for $2.40.

I checked at Fort Meade and they are not running this deal. It could be a regional thing, or perhaps just a local deal, but it is worth checking out.
