The Schoolhouse Expo is a fun and informative online homeschool convention. This online convention will be held May 16-20, 2011. I was wowed when I saw the speaker list, some of my favorite homeschooling pioneers will be sharing their wisdom at this online convention.
Some of the speakers for the 2011 Expo are:
Each Expo ticket includes MP3 downloads of all the sessions from the convention. So if you miss a session you will be able to listen to it at a more convenient time! There will also be virtual goodie bags (valued at over $200!), door prizes, and even a virtual vendor hall offering freebies and specials! The entire convention will be presented from a Christian perspective.
Currently you can buy your Expo ticket for $19.50. This special Early Bird price ends, at 11:59 p.m. on February 9, 2011.
On February 10, the price goes up to $29.00 and the Bonus Freebies will no longer be available. On February 27, the full price of $39.99 will be in effect.

We have been homeschooling for 2 1/2 years now 
We are in the middle of our 11th year homeschooling. I can’t even believe it has been that long! The Expo looks very interesting!
WE are currently homeschooling my daughter in preschool. She will start Kindergarten next year so that will be the first year we are officially registered as homeschooling. We have known since she was 6 months old that we planned to homeschool and have always worked on stuff with her. I guess up to this point though it has just been the things every parents does to prepare for school. This is the first year we have done any books or real school work. We have had a school area in the basement where we practiced stuff for almost 2 years. I would love this opportunity for a ticket to get better prepared for my first official year as a homeschooler.

I would be so excited to attend this conference, what a great way to get us started down the home schooling journey. We have 2 little girls, 2.5 and 8 months and the timing of this would be just perfect us. We have always known that we were going to homeschool our girls and this would give us the best start ever.
We intend to homeschool. Right now we’re just doing weekly library tips and reading as much as we can, singing songs, and playing games. It would be great to attend this conference, and hear from these speakers!

I have been looking for Homeschool Conventions in my area,but none are local
I would L?VE a chance to win the free ticket!! My daughter is currently enrolled in a local private school,but my husband and I feel led to pull her out this week and start homeschooling. We had already decided on homeschooling in the fall,but the Lord really impressed upon our hearts to start earlier.I am so excited and so is our 6 yr old daughter

Been homeschooling for about 3yrs. I’ve heard about this convention and it would be a blessing to benefit from it. We are looking at relocating this summer and won’t be able to physically attend the convention here and this seems to be a good alternative.

We’ve been unofficially doing Before Five in a Row for preschool since September. This fall I plan to use a JK curriculum with my oldest (who will be 4 turning 5) and the BFIAR with my new preschooler who will be 3.

What a great idea to have a virtual conference! We are unofficially homeschooling at this point since my oldest is still preschool age, but I’m trying to get as much info as possible so we can make it official come kindergarten registration time!
I’m currently in the research stage of homeschooloing. I have 2 teenagers who are in public school, and decided that I did not want to send my babies (3, 2 & 6 months) into that type of setting. My 3yo has been learning in many different styles and I will start a curriculum w/ her in August. This would be a great oppurtunity to learn before actually starting. Thank you for this opportunity!
I have a little one that will enter preschool next year…and I don’t know much about homeschooling at all! Would love the opportunity to learn about homeschooling! I know quite a few people that do homeschool and love it! I was an educator before becoming a SAHM and really think homeschooling might be something that could be for us…but not something that I see myself seeking out.
