Thank you,
Frugal Fun – Sidewalk Chalk
Let your kids express themselves with sidewalk chalk. The chalk will wash off after the next good rain storm. Kids can draw their own art or games like hopscotch. You can buy sidewalk chalk at craft store or make your own using this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup Plaster of Paris, 1/2 cup of water, powdered tempera paint and something to use as a mold (such as a cardboard egg carton).
Directions:
Mix the water, Plaster of Paris and powdered tempera paint. The more tempera paint you add, the deeper the color of the chalk will be. Then pour the mixture into your mold and let dry.
So glad to hear someone else has a ton of books checked out from the library! Here is my library horror story. One time we had 85 items checked out and I realized they were due on the Friday night of a weekend holiday. I went to renew them online, and my card had expired! So I couldn’t renew them. Everyday I had to watch a very large fine accumulate until I could go to the library Tues morning and beg for mercy! They were very nice and understanding and cleared my fines. I think they understand people who love books enough to check out thousands of them every year!
