A few years ago I had the privilege of interviewing Debra Bell while I was at the Apologia Live convention. I really enjoyed getting to know her and it’s been wonderful to keep in touch with her over the past few years.
Debra has been a huge influence in the homeschool community through her books, speaking, encouragement, and mentoring. Debra is truly a homeschool pioneer and someone I want to be like when I grow up. 
Debra is almost finished with her PhD in educational psychology but she needs our help to complete it. Here’s a little more about her project.
Dear Homeschool Parent:
After I finished eighteen years of homeschooling, I went back to school to complete a PhD in educational
psychology. I plan to use my training to better help homeschooling parents tailor their programs to
meet each child’s individual needs.I hope to graduate this May, but to do so, I need your help:
I’ve asked The Happy Housewife for assistance in promoting my dissertation study to homeschooling
families who follow her blog. I would like this study to represent the diversity of the homeschool
movement.

I think the code is HH but I didn’t end up seeing that until I’d already begun the survey so I just put N/A
I am trying to do this survey but I cannot get the survey to open. I managed to open the pdf that gives details. But the link it provides won’t go. I copy/pasted it and I also typed it manually (it won’t let me click to open) but it just takes me to the surveymonkey default page no matter what I try.
It seems to indicate that I have to be CURRENTLY schooling at least one child. Those of us who have finished (hallelujah!) probably have insight, or rather hind-sight, that might be helpful. Is she interested in that group as well?

I’m very interested in retired homeschool parents and also the homeschooled kids themselves. But for this study, I had to narrow it to current homeschooling parents. Once I’ve obtained my degree I will be able to expand into other areas of interest.
