Ask Questions to Encourage Learning
Homeschooling is so very unique because we have the time to ask questions to encourage learning!
Why do you think so?
How do you think it works?
How would you do it?
Where is that?
What do you think happens next?
Rather than end the school day when the last blank is filled in – ask a question! Our newest and favorite sayings … “I wanna know … ”
- I wanna know why those hurricanes on Jupiter never stop spinning.
- I wanna know how cotton balls are all the same shape.
- I wanna know where the fastest snake lives.
- I wanna know what is the most poisonous animal on earth.
- I wanna know how a rat trap works.
- I wanna know why my head hurts when I blow up balloons.
- I wanna know why we get eye buggers. (it’s anatomy)
Rather than practice memorizing vice presidents in chronological order – grab a screw driver and take apart your toaster! Or break some eggs to see how much force those shells can take …

… whatever you do – start by asking a few questions!
