Winter Checklist

A fellow tightwad blogger has compiled a great winter checklist. This is a list of 99 ways to prepare for the upcoming winter. I figure she is probably an expert since she lives in Alaska! If you are a list person like me, you will love this post!

Some of the items “to do” are:

  • Declutter kids’ toys to make room for holiday presents.
  • Switch your menu plan to include cold weather foods.
  • Purchase echinacea and other herbal supplements.
  • Make an appointment with a portrait studio to have family photos taken.
  • Test batteries in carbon monoxide detectors.

After reading her list I am motivated! You can find the rest of her list here.

PS- For my family in Florida, here is your brief winter checklist…

  • Find your one long sleeve shirt.
  • Find your windbreaker. The temperature might drop below 70.
  • Locate one pair of socks, just in case it is too cold to wear sandals.
  • Stock up on sunscreen and aloe vera.
  • Enjoy a dip in the pool for all of us knee deep in snow!

Great idea! WE get lots of ice and last year had a bunch more snow than normal. Ugh!

    LOL on the Florida checklist.

  3. My Texas checklist looks much like the Florida checklist! It is still HOT here…I am so ready for fall to arrive!

  4. Cherrill says:

Yes, Florida has but one season these days HOT!
I’m so ready to move to some place that has seasons.
