Repurpose Household Containers

organized in 365 Repurpose Household Containers

I’m a storage container junkie. I am almost giddy when I walk into IKEA or the Rubbermaid section of Target. I love containers!

An ice cube tray makes a great storage container/ organizer for nails, screws, and other small hardware.

Before you spend big bucks on containers when you are organizing around your home think about reusing something you already have. It saves you money and it keeps items you might have throw away out of the dump.

I just did this today! My husband gave up some white containers he’d been using in his desk and I put them in my kitchen drawers! They’re so nice and organized now – I can see everything! Yippee! :)

I used ice cube trays to sort my earrings! I did this for my grandmother over 25 years ago and I just did it for myself this year! My grandmother was a very smart woman!

I’ve been saving my Aldi pretzel rod containers. They are super for flour, popcorn and other pantry staples! Love your idea.

Isn’t it funny how we can overlook a perfectly good container like an ice cube tray? I love storage containers too…but I have some unused ice cube trays just sitting around. Love it!

I love it! I made a shelf with baby food jar lids screwed to the bottom of the shelf. The jars then screw to the lids like normal. I’m very excited to have it on my sewing room for pins, buttons, and other odds and ends.

I feel the same way about walking into storage container stores! But when you calculate what you spend on ONE container at the store compared to what you already have and usually throw out, it’s a no brainer.
