It is hard to believe but in the past year two of my friends have had their homes totally destroyed by fire. I cannot even begin to imagine their loss.
While my family has talked about exit plans and meeting spots in case this happens to us, I never thought about protecting our valuable documents.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by SentrySafe and asked if I would like one of their Pink Fire Chest Safes. It is small enough to be stored in a closet, but large enough to hold important documents such as birth certificates, passports, social security cards, marriage licenses and a will.
The safe is ETL Verified 1/2-hour fire protection for CDs, DVDs, USB drives and memory sticks up to 1550°F.
While I hope I will never have to put this safe to the test, I feel better knowing our important documents are protected in case of an emergency.

We had a house fire on Christmas day last year (Merry Christmas to us1) though we were extremely fortunate and the damage was minimal (though still costly!). We could certainly use another fireproof safe for keeping important docs.

We have one that is stuffed to the max, and absolutely love it. We keep all our immegration paper work, negatives from our wedding and other treasures in there. Really wonderful. But I would love a bit more space to store our external back up hard drive!

After the big Bastrop here in Texas, a lot of us are considering fire safes. With the exceptional drought we are in, and with LaNina coming back, we will continue to have wildfires for many months or even years. I have lost birth certificates when moving. It is a very expensive loss since they had to be replaced and all were out of state. I had not kept them in a safe. I never really thought of a fire destroying everything, until we found out our electrical wiring is outdated and two outlets have sparked when we tried to use them. A safe would not protect us from the danger of fire, but would protect the important documents that are hard or expensive to replace. I would like a safe. Thank you.

My oldest daughter lost EVERYTHING when their dream home burned to the ground. Well, praise God, all the real valuables (she and her family) escaped without a scratch. But, they have to rebuild everything tangible. She’s also a nurse and does so much to support Breast Cancer Research on a regular basis. My husband and I just bought a house, and out in the garage is a big cardboard box that contains all those important marriage documents, house deeds, insurance, social security cards and birth certificates…we have been meaning to get one but it hasn’t happened yet! I love the pink, amazing how a cool color on an everyday item makes it even better. My family lost almost everything we had 13 years ago because of a faulty wire in my dryer hookup.

This would be great to win, we don’t have a safe deposit box and have been waiting on of these, but they are pricey. I already keep important documents a plastic tub in the plastic in case there is a tornado but I do worry about them with a fire. In the basement, if we are home we wouldn’t have time to retrieve them. The box would help.

Luv the pink safe! I also lost everything in a fire including my husband and dog in 2004. I lost all my photo albums and the video of my sons first steps. I wish I would have used a safe then. The flash drives were not even around back then,and you can store so much data in a really small space. Thanks & god bless, Cheryl =)

I really need a safe, I used to have one and it messed up and didn’t end up getting another one. We have the birth certificates and ss cards and other things that need put up and kept safe. I really need this!

I always worry what I would try to save in case of a fire in our home. Having one of these would help me have one less thing to worry about.
