The kids dishes are in the bottom two drawers. The babies know they can play with those dishes and even the toddlers jump in to help set the table. Making the dishes available to them gives them just a little more independence.

Ours also has the plasticware the kids use when they clear the table (for leftovers) and the recycled coffee creamer bottles they use as water bottles. Great tip!
