After using the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush ProClean for the past six weeks I can definitely say I’m happy with the toothbrush.
I’ve used electric toothbrushes in the past and feel the Spinbrush is comparable to the electric products. When you use the $4.00 off coupon for the Sprinbrush I definitely think you are getting a great deal!
Don’t forget, once your toothbrush has worn out its welcome on your teeth you can always reuse it around the house. Just make sure you label it so you don’t accidentally brush your teeth with the toilet scrubber!
You all had some great tips earlier this month on getting kids to brush their teeth, but my favorite was from Carole.
When my four-year-old got to her “Little Miss Independent” phase, and wanted to brush her own teeth, it was a battle to get her to let us brush them to make sure they were clean. I was inspired one night and asked her if I could “paint” her teeth with the toothpaste, and then she could scrub it off. She was intrigued, and agreed without arguing, so that’s what we’ve been doing for at least half a year now: we buy several colors of toothpaste and let her choose which color we’re going to “paint” them with, and then we scrub the “paint” off. (Sometimes she wants to paint and let us scrub, and that’s just fine with us, too.)
This is such a great tip! Especially because young children want to do EVERYTHING by themselves! I’m definitely going to try this idea with Cora!
I’ve got another $25 gift card to give away to one reader. Please leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway. Giveaway is open to US residents and a random winner will be chosen July 22, 2011.

I am a def Crest Spin Brush fan!!!
My children love brushing there teeth. I guess I am just lucky
I’d love to win the gift card! I have 3 little ones who love to be independent when brushing their teeth, too!
Brushing teeth is quickly becoming a battle with my 3 year old. Every day she says “nah, my teeth are clean.” ;o) Maybe an electric toothbrush will help. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the spin toothbrushes. Caution on “painting” teeth. My friend did that years ago with her son and one day he painted his teeth with nail polish! We play dentist and that works for us.
Awesome! I so am going to try this with my 2 yr old.
I love, love, love the idea of painting my daughters teeth. She is 3 1/2 and it is all about her and doing things her way! Most things I do not mind, but I will not give her “privacy” to brush her teeth. Then the battle begins….
Thanks for the oppurtunity to post a comment!
Yay! I love these toothbrushes, just for the reason you stated.
Love the idea of painting your child’s teeth…going to have to try that!
Clever idea about “painting” teeth… I need to have a few tricks and tips like that to help with my kids’ teeth-brushing!
We use Inspector Hector® Plaque Detector before brushing, that way my kids know if their teeth are still blue they need to keep brushing.
The painting thing is a great idea! We are just hitting that milestone too where my 3 year old wants to do it himself but he really just sucks the toothpaste off without real brushing. Then the wrestling match ensues! Thanks for this tip!
Great idea about painting the teeth! We have four living children 9 and under and are expecting another in December. When our kids are under 6 or so, we brush their teeth then ask them to get the spots we “missed”. They get a kick out of catching our “mistakes” and we like knowing their teeth are clean.
Santa gave the three older children Spinbrushes for Christmas. I think Santa will make a little visit in July (Christmas in July you know!! Lol) and bring them each a new Spinbrush. I do think it gives them a better clean than a standard child’s toothbrush.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
We have spinbrushes and love them!
My two-year-old will let me brush her teeth if we pretend she has animals in there. I squeal “I SEE AN ELEPHANT!” and we brush it away. I wait a second and she’ll say, “GIRAFFE!” and I have to brush it out of there too. It takes a little longer with all the animals, but probably not if you add all the fussing and fighting involved if we don’t play this game and I try to rush through it.
I need all the help I can get with getting my 8 yr old to thoroughly brush his teeth!
I love the spin brushes as well. All the bang without the buck!
My two year old daughter will let my husband brush her teeth but she will not let me go figure. So one night I got the bright idea to open a second tooth brush and I brush her teeth and she brushes her beloved Piglet’s teeth just like I do.
My son is always intrigued when I brush my teeth with our electronic toothbrush. Maybe I’ll have to get him a spinbrush.
This has been a battle lately in our house. I might be tempted to give it a try if she didn’t have a habit of somehow chewing up the toothbrushes.
My boys love the spin brush.
I sing a song while I brush the little ones teeth. They just look at me like I am crazy then I let them “brush” when i am done. My older boys like the spinbrush.
We put spin brushes in our kids’ stockings one Christmas. They were a big hit!
brushing my 3 year old’s teeth with a regular tooth brush is always such an ordeal. thank you for the tip!
I LOVE the idea of “painting” teeth. I think this would work really well for my sons, and we will start tomorrow. The boys (twins) are three, and want to brush their teeth “All by my self Momma!” but they don’t do a good job, and hate when I follow up behind them to make sure the back teeth were brushed.
The give away sounds great!
We let our 4.5 and 6 year olds brush their teeth by themselves Sunday through Friday. Saturday, mama or daddy gets to brush them. If they’re having a super tired night in between, we do them then, too. This way they still get their independence and we still make sure they have healthy teeth.
I love the spinbrushes!
Our kids brush thier own teeth, but parents get a “once over” at the end.
We love spinbrushes. Keep our teeth so healthy! Would love to try this kind!

I’d love to switch to an electric toothbrush!
That is a great idea! For the moment we can still brush out kids teeth as long as they get a turn first. I will try to remember this for the day they refuse!
What a great way to teach kids to brush! If they only knew how important brushing is!!
I love the ‘painting teeth’ trick!
What a great idea!
Sounds like a fun trick to try!
$25 would drfinately help buy 4 spin brushes for my kids!
love that idea since i found out i have cavities! i need to make sure she doesn’t get them and i definitely need creative ways to do it
Would love these! My youngest needs some help
Thank you!
I was wondering what to do now that my toddler has started resisting toothbrushing – love this idea!
I would love to but these. I have three kids that need help brushing their teeth. These would be a great help and make them feel more independent.
I’ve never tried an electric toothbrush, but the Spinbrush looks intriguing.
Maybe an electric toothbrush will make my 3 year old more cooperative about brushing her teeth!
Looks like spin brush would be great for my little ones!
Great idea for my independent daughter. I love our Spin Brushes too!
love your blog! you always have the coolest ideas!
Great idea! Anything to keep the cavities away…
That is an awesome idea! I will keep that in mind for sure when granddaughter gets to be that age. Why didn’t I think of that when mine were little???
Would love one of these for my ds16 since he has gotten braces.
Would love to win a Spin Brush!
Teeth brushing is not something we’ve been very good about with our kids. They love to brush their teeth, but I’m not consistent about having them do it and/or supervising. Definitely need to “brush up” on our tooth brushing routine!
How timely. We’re all getting cleanings at the dentist today!
My children 10 and 8 have been asking for a spinbrush. I think it would make brushing fun for them —- for a while
Would love to win, thank you for the giveaway!
I am definitely going to try that with our two year old! Thanks for the tip : )
I had never heard of spin brush. Now I need to go find them.
I will SO be using this advise! My 3 year old is all about doing things herself!!! WOWZA!
My 2 year old is finally getting better about letting me brush his teeth. I think he likes the taste of the non-flouride toothpaste I bought and now he usually brushes without so much of a fight!
Great idea. Would love a chance to win! Thanks!
Great idea to “paint”! When my 2 year old has to brush, we set a timer for one minute, so she starts brushing. When the timer goes off, she hands the brush over to Mom or Dad to finish up, while she gets to pick a special “brushing” toy from a basket on the counter to play with while we get the rest of the “mouth monsters” off her teeth and out of her mouth. She puts the toy back in the basket when done and VOILA! Clean mouth!
I tried this ‘painting’ technique this morning with my 5, 4 and almost 2 year old children and it helped, thanks for sharing!
My oldest has does a much better job now that he has an electric toothbrush. I’ve been considering getting some for the other kids as well.
I was having such trouble getting my 5 yr old to do a good job brushing (even after he had to have one tooth pulled and two crowns put on – you’d think that would have scared him straight!), but I bought him an electric toothbrush. He still complains when I tell him to go brush his teeth, but when I remind him it’s with an electric toothbrush, he usually perks up and goes to do it. Lol.
Thanks for the tip…and the giveaway!
Sounds like a great idea. My toddler is beginning to fight me on the toothbrushing thing too.
