After spending most of my summer traveling, I wish I would have known about this app earlier! Nevertheless, I am downloading it to my phone today.
Poynt is a free search app that helps locate local business, people, gas stations, movie times, restaurants and more. My absolute favorite feature- the gas prices option. In less than 10 seconds I had a list of all the stations and their current gas prices. When you are driving around a 15 passenger van, every penny makes a difference!
Poynt is FREE and available for the iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry smartphones. You can learn more about the app and download it on the Poynt website.

I have communicated with one of their founders and they are still in private beta, but you can sign up early and they’ll let you know when they launch. They are out of NY and are working with 3 major cities right now. You can nominate your own city also.
