I’m excited to tell you about a new challenge I’m participating in this summer. I’ve been challenged by Arm & Hammer to try their products for four weeks and then share my thoughts about the switch. This month I’m trying Arm & Hammer Essentials fabric softener sheets. This is going to be a fun challenge as I try these products, many for the first time, and give some gift cards away too!

I have to admit I stopped using dryer sheets about six years ago. There was no particular reason for stopping, I just stopped. I didn’t think there was a big difference in how my laundry felt coming out of the dryer so I decided it was something I didn’t need.
This whole experiment reminds me of when my family stopped buying “real” bacon. We switched to turkey bacon and for years I thought it tasted like the real thing. That is until we were camping and our friends cooked up a pound of real bacon. Turkey bacon all of a sudden didn’t taste anywhere near as good as I thought it did when compared to the real deal.
For the past few weeks we’ve been using these dryer sheets and there is a BIG difference, especially with the linens. I got use to the crackle-ly towels and socks clinging to sheets over the past several years. But it sure was nice to use a towel that was actually soft. In fact for a time I thought my towels were just cheap, but in fact they were just stiff. The Arm & Hammer Essentials fabric softener sheets did a good job of minimizing static cling and gave my clothes a nice soft feel. My husband even commented that everything smelled nice.
I’m not one for overpowering smells when it comes to detergents so I was glad the lavender and linen scent was not overpowering. My linen closet while currently disorganized smells really good!

I didn’t think it mattered either until David asked me if I was using fabric softener…he kept shorting out systems at the base due to the static electricity! So I guess it does matter.
I’ve heard that you can use tennis balls in the dryer to have the same effect, but I’ve never tried it.
Golf balls work at fluffing a pillow after washed!! Never tryed it for a fabric softner!
I use dryer sheets but I use them more than once. Drives my husband crazy because he finds them around the house but I will reuse them until they are not longer stiff. Sometimes I will put 2 old ones in. My Mom keeps her used dryer sheets to clear the water stains off of her fiberglass shower. It will cut through the calcium and other mineral build up.
I use dryer sheets, but I cut them in half so they last longer. Those suckers are expensive! Haven’t noticed much difference only using half. My clothes smell great and have no static cling.
I do the same thing. Works great and saves $
I have used Arm & Hammer detergents for the last 5 or so yrs. I love the laundry detergent and when they came out with the 2-in-1 dryer sheets I was even more excited. They are the best!
I have never used Arm and Hammer dryer sheets, but have used another product. I cut mine in 1/2 so they go farther. all I want them to do is take away the static cling. I don’t like my clothes really smelly with the dryer sheet smell. I will give Arm and Hammer a try.
