However, I do like to hit the clearance racks for gifts. Since I usually take a list with me of what I need, I don't get too side-tracked with other items. It has taken me some time to develop that self-control, but the Lord has been faithful to help me. Before making a purchase, I will often ask myself, "If I buy this item, will I be "doing my husband good?" and that helps to eliminate a LOT of impulse purchases.
