New Frugal Living Community

I am very excited to tell you about BlogFrog’s newest community, Frugal Living, powered by Ebates. This community is an amazing resource for all things frugal. It is a great place to share money saving tips and ideas as well as ask questions about the best ways to save money. This community is like a modern day, interactive Tightwad Gazette New Frugal Living Community. I should tell you that most of the money saving ideas I share on this site originated with someone else. I love learning about new and creative ways to save and the Frugal Living Community is the place to learn from each other!

This community is sponsored by Ebates, who is the pioneer and leader of online cash back shopping, working with over 1200 online retailers, and paying it’s members over $50,000,000 to date. Ebates works by commission; for each shopper Ebates sends to a store, that store will give Ebates a commission, which Ebates then shares with it’s members.

A few details about how Ebates can work for you:

If you ever shop online, Ebates is definitely a website you need to check out! It pays you cash back for every online purchase you make. The best thing about it is that it is a totally free and it takes only a few minutes to create an account.

I just realized the other day that you can even book hotels and flights (including Southwest!) through Ebates! My husband travels for work frequently and now he can book his travel by clicking through the Ebates website. I am kicking myself for all the money we didn’t save last year when my husband lived in a hotel for six weeks!

Ebates also has a referral program so if your friends and family sign up you can earn rewards too. It is definitely a win/win for everyone! If you refer enough people you can earn a cruise!!! (Seriously, I don’t make this kind of stuff up!)

Finally, Ebates gives you a $5 bonus when you sign up and make your first purchase.

BlogFrog has really put together an amazing community. Already there is a $5 Back to School Supply Challenge (which I failed miserably), the Grocery Budget Challenge, and a DIY discussion which I can’t wait to read, just to name a few. It is a great place to learn even more about saving money and share your ideas too!

To help kick off this community there are some awesome prizes just for participating.

  • Reply to the daily Featured Discussions and be entered to win $25 gift cards for one of the following Ebates merchants: Target, Apple Store, Staples, Old Navy, Starbucks, Walmart, or Kohls.
  • The most active Community Members during the launch wins big.
  • Back to School Grand Prizes – $320 value This prize is chosen randomly among all those who replied to EVERY featured discussion for the two weeks of launch.

You can find out more about the prizes in the Frugal Living Community. So what are you waiting for, hop on over to the new community and join the discussion.

FYI – the links from your page to the site were not loading correctly for me – I was only seeing half the page. Maybe it’s just me. I went to google and found the blog directly. :-)

Hello! I’ve been reading your blog for over a year, thank you for everything you share! I had a quick question, how do you organize your coupons? I’ve seen that you post coupon match-ups by the date the coupons printed but how do you organize them? Hope my question makes sense. Thank you :-)

I’m happy that BlogFrog is having this great launch. It reminded me about eBates. I was a member when they first came out, then after a few computer crashes I forgot all about it and never signed back up. It is a great way to make the most of your dollars and get back money for shopping at the same time!
