I attended a wedding last week and was once again reminded that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have great party favors and decorations.

Seasonal fresh flowers are inexpensive and available at every grocery store, bulk food store, and corner market. For my sister’s baby shower we tied pink and blue ribbon around tulips (it was springtime) with a small card thanking people for attending the shower.
Ladies loved taking home a fresh flower and we spent once but used twice. The flowers were used as decorations throughout the room during the shower, then given away at the end of the afternoon.

Have a baby shower next weekend! Love this idea! Thanks!
I am SO using this next spring for my sister’s wedding shower. Love it!
What a great idea!
I did this for my baby shower two weeks ago, except I hand-wrote all the notes! It’s a cute idea
I did something similar at my wedding. We ended up with 4 dozen more roses than we needed and the ladies helping with food asked what to do? They ended up putting them in large vases they found in the church and putting them all over the reception. Then everyone, plus family, took home long-stemmed red roses. I did not do corsages.
We did something similar at my sister’s wedding. Except we didn’t think of it ahead of time enough to tie pretty ribbons and make cute cards. Beautifully done!
What a lovely idea. For my bridal shower my sister and friend found some small pots and planted various flowers in them. They served as decoration and then each guest got a plant to take home with them. However, while beautiful, that is a lot of work and expense. Your idea follows the same concept, but is so much simpler and cheaper while still being just as elegant.
LOVE This idea! Thanks so much for sharing – so simple yet such a great plan! I need to remember this one!
What an awesome idea! I might link this from my blog.
