Free Sample Lesson from Back to Basics Cooking.

March 10, 2009 · 8 comments

I am glad to see my giveaway for the Back to Basics Cooking Class is getting such a great response.  As you know, we are going through this class ourselves as part of our homeschooling curriculum.  One lesson I was particularly excited about was the homemade egg ‘mcmuffin’ sandwiches.  As you know I am a big fan of hot breakfasts and not such a big fan of fast food restaurants. I love finding ways to make “restaurant” food healthier at home.

Shelley, the creator of the course, has agreed to let you preview the entire ‘mcmuffin’ lesson from start to finish … I’m not sure how long she’s going to let me keep this link active, since this is the actual lesson that is usually only visible to registered students, but at least for the next few days you can watch the entire egg mcmuffin lesson by clicking on the link. If you like what you see, enter my giveaway to win the entire course!

Bummers. I couldn’t get it to work. I had better check with Sir Husband before signing up for the class, if our computer will handle whatever it is that is not working. :)

I wish there was an edit button for our comments. LOL The above should say I need to check with my huband “to see” if our computer will handle….

I really enjoyed the lesson on Egg McMuffins. I will try it with my family. I used to eat them all the time in High School.

I don’t eat many eggs, but most of the family does and this was so cool. Considering I don’t eat them, no I do not have a clue how to cook them. lol. However this might stop DH from stopping at McDonald’s on his way to work. THANKS

Only needs half a slice of cheese!?!! Are you kidding me? (Hopefully Shelley will understand my Wisconsin sense of humor).

Seriously, that was a really good back to basics cooking lesson. My 7 year old wants to watch more and make these. I remember having to look up how to make a hard boiled egg when we got married.

Liz,

“There’s nowhere near enough meat on this sandwich.”

I can see that you’d have trouble with the cheese level. You can always modify the recipe:)
