Monday, September 29, homeschool parents will be able to pick up a complimentary tall size (12 fl. oz.) cup of Pike Place Roast from Starbucks.
This is part of Starbucks “Great Start for Great Teachers” promotion. All you need to do is present Starbucks with evidence that you are a homeschooler.
Any of the following should be acceptable as proof you are a homeschooler.
- Home School Legal Defense Association membership card.
- Membership card from a state homeschooling organization.
- Notification from a school district or state government recognizing compliance with compulsory attendance.
- Paperwork submitted showing intent to establish a homeschool program.
- Paperwork showing the establishment of a private school.
This also applies to teachers as well, just bring in some form of teacher identification.

I don’t homeschool and I don’t drink coffee, oh well! It IS good to see businesses recognising the validity of homeschooling though.

Aunt T – I am sure if you would homeschool 3 kids for a day, their mom would buy you a cup of coffee. Deal?

Thank you for alerting me! I’ll be there with bells on. And since Hubby and I both get an HSLDA membership card, he can go get one on his lunch break.
